The Caribbean Mercy has been laid-up in the port of Chickasaw, Alabama for several months. The future of the ship is uncertain. Mercy Ships can't afford to fix everything that's broken on the ship right now because all money is being sent to England to try and get the Africa Mercy ready to sail to Ghana next Spring. But the little ship is getting another chance to spread some "hope and healing" around the hurricane-hit Gulf states. It's serving as a command center and housing location for relief teams. I'm going down for a couple days to get interviews, video and pictures of all that's happening.
